The government of Pakistan must invest in video game development.

Pakistan has a lot of potential regarding game development, and the scope can be high. There is a lot of talent in Pakistan that needs to be groomed and guided. If you look at the talent pool, then one of the most famous names will be Wajhi Jafri, who was the co-founder of the most famous Pakgamer.com.pk, which changed the entire scope of video games in Pakistan. PakGamers used to promote video gaming in Pakistan, and they used to represent Pakistan at E3 shows and gaming awards. It was the only forum in Pakistan that represented Pakistan in these forums. However, now the concept has been changed, and social media have taken over these platforms. Wajhi Jafri was promoted and shifted to Germany. He was the producer of a video game called Control, which was released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One X in 2019.

In Pakistan, IT exports are growing at a slow pace, whereas India's IT exports are nearly USD 190 billion per year, and Pakistan will reach USD 3.5 billion. The extreme gap is due to video game development. There are many video game developers that are hiring from the cheap talent pool in India and focusing on hiring expensive artists rather than game developers. For example, Ubisoft, EA, Microsoft, etc., have invested in India for video game development. It has paid off well for India, and now video game development contributes nearly 50% of India's IT exports. Therefore, the Pakistani government must provide learning for Unreal Engine 4/5, Unity Engine, and other graphics engines, which can contribute to Indian gaming. Pakistan can almost double its IT exports, which will be near USD 7 billion if Pakistan starts contributing to video game development. Moreover, the video gaming industry is bigger than Hollywood and Bollywood combined. GTA 6 is projected to earn USD 1 billion in just one day, which even the most expensive Hollywood movies cannot do in a week, let alone one day.
