PCB calls Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi for training camps.

Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been called by the PCB to training camps so that their progress can be noted. PCB has been straightforward with Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Babar Azam that they need to play attacking and modern cricket if they want to be selected for the white ball squad. The media reports that all these players' selections will depend on their progress, as reported by Pakistan's Head Coach Mike Hesson. It is a massive shift from PCB since last year, when all the senior players were not focusing on performances but rather on social media posts, reels, gatherings, and parties. Winning matches and giving a top performance were not the top priorities of the senior players. Since then, PCB management, including Moshin Naqvi, has many times said that now the Pakistan Cricket Board will introduce new players and move forward. Pakistani cricket has been facing discipline issues regarding players.

Now PCB has called Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi to training camps, which are being held in Lahore. In the videos it is noted that Babar Azam is making serious efforts and adjusting his game. Babar Azam is spotted with Pakistan's head coach, Mike Hesson, and he suggests tips to Babar Azam. It will not be a surprise at least Babar Azam will be adjusted to the team so that there is no issue of inexperience in the team for the ICC World Cup 2026 and PCB will go for a stable team. As for Mohammad Rizwan, there are 2 wicketkeepers currently for the white ball; one is Mohammad Haris, and the second is Farhan. Both are top-order batsmen. These can both also be adjusted to middle order or opening pair as well. Therefore, adjusting Mohammad Rizwan will be much harder than adjusting Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi to the team in the future.
