Pakistan Becomes Member of China's new global mediation body

Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was in Hong Kong, as were Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee. There were several other countries as well that attended the event. Pakistan has now officially joined China's new mediation body that is hoped to be as effective as the ICJ or better than it. On Friday, China hopes that the new mediation body could resolve issues that the ICJ could not, and it will help to bolster its city's international credentials through this new mediation body. This move is highlighted by media and experts as a very important step by Pakistan and China during these tense situations, and geopolitical issues are on the rise as well. It is the center of the highlight because of Donald Trump's trade wars with every country. Reuters Quotation

"The mediation body aims to cement Hong Kong's presence as a top centre to resolve disputes between countries, leader John Lee said earlier this week, adding that it's status would be on par with the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration of the United Nations in The Hague."

The world has seen that the International Court of Justice is not as effective as it used to be because the international court ordered Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu to be arrested for genocide in Gaza and killing millions of innocent people. The petition was submitted by South Africa, and they won the case. However, no country could implement the order of the International Court of Justice, and Benjamin Netanyahu has been roaming around the world, and countries do not bother to arrest him. Of course, the arrest will be legal, as it is the decision of the international court; however, still the decision was not implemented. However, it is hoped that the superpower like China, backing this new mediation body created by China, can resolve this issue and other arbitration issues as well.
